In accordance with the relevant documents on epidemic prevention and control issued by the Ministry of education, Wuxi and Jiangsu Province, our school has formulatedThe Undergraduate Teaching Plan for the First Semester of 2021-2022-1 Academic Year, and is scheduled to carry out online learning officially on September 6. On August 24, the college formulated and releasedThe Undergraduate Teaching Plan of the College of Foreign Languages in the First Semester of the 2021-2022-1 Academic Yearto make comprehensive preparations for the teaching work of the new semester.

The English Department responded positively to the school's arrangement and planned the online teaching plan in advance. On the basis of summarizing the previous online teaching experience, each course group boldly explored and tried to find the best online teaching method according to the different course characteristics and learning methods. On August 26, the college conducted online teaching training on the Ding Talk platform for all teachers. Through the training of Jin Bo and Jiang Chenjuan, all the teachers comprehensively reviewed the operation of the live broadcast of the Ding Talk platform and learned the newly developed video conference of the Ding Talk platform—classroom live broadcast. After the training, our Department immediately launched the establishment of online teaching groups. In two days, the teachers set up a total of 109 online teaching major groups. Besides, each teaching class is also equipped with a standby teaching platform to deal with unexpected situations.

Facing the teaching difficulties of tight time, large volume and heavy tasks, the Department has made two arrangements. On the one hand, the teachers should interact with the students work team and student union to quickly arrange students to join their own course groups. On the other hand, each course group had a full discussion. Everyone actively communicated, carefully prepared lessons, showed their strengths and designed new class tasks in or out of the class and various classroom interaction for online teaching. Before September 3, all of the online learning classes completed the platform test and software test, making full preparations for the normal opening of the new semester on September 6. On the first day of the new semester, all teachers entered the online classroom in full spirit, led the students to get new knowledge and completed the teaching tasks with high quality.
