Under the tense situation of pandemic prevention and control, our students actively responded to the call to join the pandemic prevention and control task force in various regions, sinking into the community to carry out volunteer services, contributing their own strength in the front line of pandemic. In this regard, ourschoolalso carried out a series of sharing activities on the theme of confronting the pandemic.
Our students entered the community of Yinxiu Yuan and assisted the community staff to visit all residents. They helped more than 80 households and 30 stores to download the corresponding APPs, ensuring that each household had successfully registered the QR code for nucleic acid testing. Our students also took measures to help special groups. For the deaf couple who could not communicate with words, theyused hand gestures and pen and paper to efficiently complete the confirmation work; fortheparalyzed elderly who could not go to the site for nucleic acid testing, theyrecorded the details and returned to the community for special registration. At the same time, theycarried a printer with them to help the elderly who do not have cell phones to print QR codes.

Meanwhile, our students scattered across the country were actively involved in pandemic prevention and control. They reviewedhealthcodes in high-traffic areas, screened medium-riskand high-risk outsiders, and assisted health care workers in registering information. At the monitoring site, with red vests and blue masks, they guide people to line up at one-meter intervals in the waiting area, do code checking, temperature measurement, information registration, and sampling and testing to ensure the orderly conduct of the sampling.

The sudden pandemic disrupted our plans, but the worst of times reveals the best in people. It once again showed the efforts and dedication of medical and nursing staff as well as volunteers. Although there were many inconveniences and difficulties in the strict prevention and control, almost everyone rallied together. Whether it was the residents who actively responded to the national call to wear masks and not to move across regions, or the volunteers like our students who did the basic work in the back of the pandemic, we were all warriors who faced the pandemic head-on and shouldered our responsibilities.
