On the afternoon of February 28, the founding conference of Wuxi University Library Reading Promotion Alliance was held in Wuxi Junlai Lake Hotel. JunQian, Director of the Reading Promotion Committee of the Library Society of Jiangsu Province, LixinLu, director of the Library of Jiangnan University, YingJin, deputy director of the Library of Wuxi City, JianLiang, Deputy director of the Propaganda Department of the Party Committee of Jiangnan University, and representatives of university libraries and librarians in Wuxi attended the launch ceremony to witness the establishment of the alliance. The meeting was presided over by YingCao, Secretary of the General Party Branch of Jiangnan University Library.
LixinLudelivered a speech at the founding of the Reading Promotion Alliance. It is hoped that through the cooperation and sharing of various alliance units, the linkage of inter-school work can be strengthened, the influence of cultural activities of various colleges and universities can be expanded, and the demonstration base of cultural education of the construction of the academic campus can be built. All alliance units work together to deepen the theoretical research in the field of reading promotion and constantly improve the quality of service.
Ying Jin delivered a congratulatory speech at the meeting, and expressed the hope to continue to strengthen the cooperation and exchanges between public libraries and university libraries in the future, integrate various resources, and jointly build a reading promotion system with urban characteristics.
Jiangnan University library deputy director LinnaJiang read the "Wuxi University library Alliance Charter". ThenJun Qian, LixinLu, YingCaoand Jian Liang jointly unveiled the Reading Promotion Alliance. The principals of 11 libraries of universities in Wuxi attended the signing ceremony.
After the ceremony, Professor Jun Qian carried out a special training entitled "Crisis Identification and Precise Intervention of Readers' Reading Behavior" for all reading promoters, which identified the crisis of readers' reading behavior from the theoretical level and proposed corresponding intervention measures from the practical level, further improving the reading concept of participants. This training has strong guidance and operability, pointing out the direction for carrying out more diversified, high-quality and accurate reading promotion activities.
The establishment of Wuxi Universities`LibrariesReading Promotion Alliance strengthens the all-round cooperation and exchange among Wuxi university library. In the future, the alliance will give full play to the advantages of literature resources, information technology and professional talents of each university library, establish a sound reading promotion service system, and jointly build a reading activity brand with Jiangnan characteristics by carrying out lectures, exhibitions, reading promotion competitions and other co-construction and sharing work. At the same time, the member libraries of the alliance will integrate local reading promotion service talents and jointly carry out various forms of activities such as lecture tour, exhibition tour, scientific research, librarian forum, etc., in order to make efforts to build a book campus covering the whole city and serving teachers and students.
