On February 19, an education cooperation symposium held by Jiangnan University’s Humanities School and Yixing City Education Bureau, a concert in Jiangsu Province named "Elegant art into campus - Spring Song" were held in Jiangsu Yixing Middle School. Yang Yan, director of the Management Office in Yixing Graduate School of Jiangnan University; Chen Lin, Director of the Municipal Co-construction and Cooperation Office in Jiangnan University; Yao Jianying, secretary of the Party Committee in Jiangnan University’s Humanities School; Zhang Dazhi, deputy mayor of Yixing City and secretary of the Municipal Education Working Committee; Liu Guoxiang and Wu Ziqiang, deputy director of Yixing Education Bureau; Zhang Jing, deputy director of Yixing Teacher Development Center; Miao Dejun, principal of Yixing Middle School in Jiangsu Province and other leaders attended. Li Ping, deputy secretary andvice president of the Humanities School, Wang Fang and Yu Shujuan, vice presidents, Assistant President Wu Honglin and directors of the Principal Teacher Training Center attended the activity together.
At the symposium, Liu Guoxiang briefly introduced the basic situation of the development of education in Yixing City in recent years, the main work results and urgent problems to be solved, expressed the strong intention to strengthen the comprehensive education cooperation with Jiangnan University, especially with Humanities School. Miao Dejun reviewed the brilliant history and development vision of Yixing Middle School which always practice the theory on school management as “Be great and be unique” for more than 90 years as a representative of famous schools. On behalf of the university, Yang Yan and Chen Lin briefly introduced Jiangnan University's running and development history as well as the progress of cooperation between the city and the university. Yao Jianying introduced the development history, teaching and research, talent training and social services of Humanities School, as well as the advantages of education disciplines and the teacher Training Center for the President of Jiangnan University in teacher training and development. In order to promote the development of education in Yixing and enhance the quality and influence of Jiangnan University in serving the development of local education in Wuxi, the university can cooperate with Yixing City in the research and planning of regional education development, the building of regional education brand and characteristics, the cultivation of major education projects and achievements, the construction of teachers, brand schools and so on.
After the symposium, the leaders and the teachers and students of Yixing Middle School were interested in watching the Jiangsu Province "Elegant Art into Campus - the Song of Spring" concert organized by the Humanities School of Jiangnan University. With the theme of "Songs of Spring", the concert was conducted by teachers and students majoring in music. Various forms of vocal music, instrumental music and recitation were used to inherit cultural classics and promote the spirit of The Times. The whole concert expressed the praise of the new era, the expectation of the new journey and the imagination of the new victory with the beauty of music, encouraging the students to seek knowledge and forge ahead, and live up to their youth.
