At 2:00 p.m. on November 5, the 5th Opera Broadcast Exercise Competition, jointly sponsored by the National Base of Cultural Quality Education for University Students, the Propaganda Department of the Party Committee, the Youth League Committee of the University, the Student Union of the University and School of Humanities, was held in the gymnasium of Lihu Campus of Jiangnan University. The School of Foreign Studies won the First Prize and the Excellent Choreography Award.

Accompanied by a melodious sound of Chinese zither, the performance squad composed of 36 students from the School of Foreign Studies entered, with smiling faces, vigorous energy and firm steps, showing the youthful elegance of students. With the sound of music, the team quickly entered into the state, with neat and uniform movements, unique team design and exquisite makeup, all of which amazed the audience.

The team showed the beauty of Chinese opera with its strong and powerful moves yet gentle and soft style. And the whole set of difficult movements made by the leading dancers was dazzling and tightened the heartstrings of the audience, bringing great visual enjoyment, which could be described as “Soars lightly like a startled swan, gracefully, like a dragon in flight”. After the performance, all the performers shouted in unison, “New journey of forging ahead with enterprise and fortitude, youth salute to the 20th National Congress”. The audience was still in shock and amazement, and the warm and endless applause followed.

The judges gave the highest score of the day, 9.75, to the expectant eyes of the audience. The whole audience gave a warm applause, and the School of Foreign Studies won the first prize and the excellent choreography award, and the students could not hide their joy.

The unique opening drumming, Chinese zither composing and the neat and tidy movements were the key to the success of our school. Behind the honor is the month-long hard training of the participating students, and the team spirit of unity and cooperation of the students. In the coming study life, the students of School of Foreign Studies will strive for further success.
