The appraisal for excellent 2021 Youth League Branch and the handover ceremony of Zhang Wentian Specially Named Youth League Branch were successfully held in A349, School of Foreign Languages at 14 o’clock on October, 26th. Liu Boxian-deputy of School Party Committee and subdecanal, Wu Yanmin-member of Caring for Next Generation Working Committee, Lu Fang-secretary of Subcommittee, and Gu Haixing-the instructor attended the meeting. All 2021 and 2022 Youth League Branch Committees participated in the meeting.
At the beginning of the meeting, the presenter introduced the lifetime of Comrade Zhang Wentian, whose spirit was further illustrated in a video, which leads contemporary youth to “set up great aspiration, understand morality, become talents, and undertake responsibilities”. Next, the 2021 Youth League Branches started their defense for the appraisal. Six secretaries of Youth League Branch summarized and anticipated the construction of Youth League Branch in respect of work philosophy, activities progress, class honours and future plans.
Wu Yanmin made comments on the defense of these six Youth League Branch, in favour of the six Youth League Branches with dedicated preparation and clear order for defense. She also gave advice on how to build an excellent Youth League Branch, and encouraged all Youth League Branches to keep marching forward courageously. Then, the result was announced by the presenter. Wu Yanmin, Lu Fang and Gu Haixing respectively awarded certificates to the winning Youth League Branches.
Ge Wenjing, secretary of English 1904-last “Zhang Wentian Specially Named Youth League Branch”, reviewed and showed the construction of Youth League Branch in past two years. Bo Jingwen, secretary of English 2101-the newly elected “zhang Wentian Specially Named Youth League Branch”, took the silk banner, expressing the idea that she would conscientiously learn and implement Zhang Wentian Spirit so as to further inherit and promote the fine traditions of Specially Named Youth League Branch.
At the end of the meeting, Liu Boxian, deputy of School Party Committee and subdecanal, delivered speech. First he looked back on the development of Specially Named Youth League Branch, conveying favourable remark on the excellent performance of English 1904 Youth League Branch and his expectation for the new Specially Named Youth League Branch. Meanwhile, he proposed three suggestions for the present Youth League cadres: to learn predecessors’ spirits and comprehend patriotism; to strengthen self-morality and experience; to inherit Specially Named Spirit and enhance typical demonstration.
At this point the handover ceremony of Zhang Wentian Specially Named Youth League Branch was successfully held. In the future, School will continue doing its utmost to cultivate and support the growth and development of Specially Named Youth League Branches. It is believed that with joint efforts of all students at School of Foreign Languages, Zhang Wentian Spirit will be bound to get inherited and promoted in School of Foreign Languages so as to become the great spiritual guidance on our way forward.
