Recently, the School Working Committee for the Care of the Next Generation set up a video conference sub-court in Wen Hao Hall to attend the “Study and Promotion and Implement the Spirit of the 20th Party Congress Report and Training Course Opening Ceremony of National Education System Working Committee for the Care of the Next Generation” organized by the Working Committee for the Care of the Next Generation the Ministry of Education. Fu Huiming, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Jiangnan University, Lou Guodong, executive deputy director of the school Working Committee for the Care of the Next Generation, Xu Qun, secretary of the retired party working committee and secretary general of the school Working Committee for the Care of the Next Generation, Wu Jiyi, Bao Guoqing, Heng Yandu, Yao Xin and other comrades of the school Working Committee for the Care of the Next Generation deputy secretariat attended the conference.

Comrades listened to the speech of Li Weihong, director of the Ministry of Education’s Committee on the Care of the Next Generation and the tutorial report on “In-depth Study of the Spirit of the 20th Party Congress Report of General Secretary Xi Jinping” given by Gu Hailiang, former member of the Party Group of the Ministry of Education, professor of the School of Marxism of Peking University, advisory member and chief expert of the Central Marxist Theory Research and Construction Project.

In his report, Gu Hailiang gave a comprehensive interpretation of the report of the 20th Party Congress, focusing on the theme of the 20th Party Congress, the decisive significance of the “two foundations”, the development of the Marxist worldview and methodology in the new era, and the missions and tasks of comprehensively promoting the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation through Chinese-style modernization.

Li Weihong pointed out in his speech that comprehensive study, grasp and implementation of the spirit of the 20th Party Congress is the primary political task of the Education System’s Committee on Care for the Next Generation in the current and future period. Old comrades, soldiers, experts, teachers and models are encouraged to be the confidant of young friends, the enthusiast of youth work, and the guide of the young masses, and make unique contributions to the training of socialist builders and successors.

The report further stimulated the sense of historical responsibility and mission of the comrades in the schoolWorking Committee for the Care of the Next Generation. The comrades expressed that they would lead the work of the committee with the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress, solidify their own construction and better play the role of the retired old comrades; take up the historical mission of caring for young students and establishing moral education based on the new journey and new starting point; excel and work hard to contribute to the quality construction of the committee of the university.
