On the afternoon of October 5, Purifying the Online Environment and Making the Cyberspace More Civilized Initiative was launched in Room A349 of the School of Foreign Languages, with the participation of Liu Bo Xian, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Foreign Languages, counselor Miao Wenjian, and publicity members of each class. Before the meeting, we all had learned about the importance of the Internet.

Before the meeting, we all had learned about the public opinion incidents caused by inaccurate remarks on the Internet, and been given warnings through real cases to raise everyone's awareness of cyber security. During the meeting, students in charge of propaganda work of each class introduced their actions in propaganda and the operations on class media platform. Then, counselor Mr. Miao Wenjian introduced the program and requirements of the campaign and answered the questions raised by the students on the spot. Finally, Liu Boxian, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of school, made a summary speech. He firstly explained the management regulations of the school's epidemic prevention and control and stressed the importance of strictly complying with the epidemic prevention and control requirements. Liu Boxian said that everyone should express their needs through reasonable channels and care for the students around them. So students should have a sense of collective honor and have a sense of responsibility to love and defend the school. For the class committee, they should guide students to pursue for faithfulness, goodness and beauty.

In this campaign, we will guide everyone to participate in the construction of a purified cyberspace through online and offline ways, and launch Purifying the Online Environment and Making the Cyberspace More civilized Initiative and Being the First in Purifying the Online Environment and other initiatives. We should join hands together for a civilized cyberspace. Youths should take active actions to be good netizens who advocate a new civilized cyberspace, purify the online environment and promote harmony and stability. Therefore, we can jointly create a clear and healthy cyberspace.
