In the season for freshmen enrollment, meet Jiangnan University in your youth. On the afternoon of September 7, the welcoming work of the School of Foreign Languages for our new students officially kicked off in the college hall. With beautiful dreams and expectations for their futures, 2022 freshmen from different places in China come to our academy and will start a new life here.

The welcoming work strictly abides by the relevant regulations of the epidemic prevention and control, and we have held several coordination meetings in advance to implement various works. At the early stage, through the online meeting for freshmen, the head teacher introduced the relevant matters and requirements for freshmen to report for university, and mentioned some precautions for online learning in next two weeks. On the day of the welcoming, the college leaders came to the spot to participate in our work, and answered questions for freshmen entering the university campus through face-to-face communication.

The theme of the activity is: "new" wave is surging, "language" will be with you. A signature wall for newcomers was set up at the site with warm welcome novice cards. Students from the Student Union were arranged to guide freshmen to leave their names on the wall and help them take photos as memorials. What’ more, four fast check-in channels and a special green channel are opened at the same time, and volunteers are there to take care of every aspect of enrollment. In addition, our college has carefully prepared special welcome gifts for the freshmen, which creates warmth and care for the freshmen despite their first meeting. With enthusiasm, patience and carefulness, the staff at the college hall guide the freshmen to sign in, receive materials and gifts as well.

The young faces entered the campus one by one, starting new chapters in their lives, and injecting new vitality and energy into the college. In the later stage, we will organize online transformation education for freshmen to help them get familiar with college life and lead them to greet the victorious summoning of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China with a youthful and upward look.
