On the afternoon of September 7, the welcome work for the 2022 freshmen of School of Foreign Languages officially kicked off in the hall of the School. The 2022 freshmen from different areas came to School of Foreign Languages with bright dreams and vision for the future. They will start a new life here.

The orientation work of the college strictly complied with the relevant regulations of epidemic prevention and control of Jiangnan University, and held several orientation coordination meetings in advance to implement various tasks. In the early stage, through the online meeting for freshmen, the head teacher introduced the relevant matters and requirements of freshmen’s register to school, and introduced the matters needing attention for the online courses in the previous two weeks. On the day of the orientation, the college leaders came to the orientation site to participate in the orientation work, and answered questions for freshmen through face-to-face communication.

The theme of this welcome is: “freshmen” are like spring tide, and “language”are like your peers. A signature wall and warm greeting card for freshmen were set up at the orientation site. And there are also Student Union members guiding them to sign and take commemorative photos. At the same time, four fast registration channels and a special green channel were opened in the college hall, and volunteers were arranged to take charge of all aspects of the registration for the 2022 freshmen. In addition, the college also has carefully prepared a special welcome gift package for the new students in order to make them feel the warmth and care of the first meeting. The staff at the orientation site are active and enthusiastic, patient and careful to guide the freshmen to sign in, receive and deliver materials, and receive gifts.
