On September 7, in order to help the freshmen better integrate into college life, Liu Boxian, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, counselors for freshmen of Grade 22 and headteachers visited the dormitories to learn about their accommodation and express solicitudes.
During the visit to the dormitories, leaders and teachers of the college talked with the freshmen, asking them in detail about their family situation, their feelings of enrollment, and their adaptation to the new school and environment. The students said that the dormitory conditions were good, and they were full of expectations for the upcoming college life. The freshmen also communicated with the teachers about their concerns. Liu Boxian, Deputy Secretary of the College Party Committee, expressed the hope that the students would adapt to college life as soon as possible, set goals, make plans, and reasonably arrange their personal time. Near the Mid Autumn Festival, the college also prepared moon cakes for the freshmen so that everyone could feel the warmth of the college.
This visit was the first offline communication between teachers and students after the freshmen registered. Face to face communication made teachers and students know more about each other, and also made students feel the warm care from the College of Foreign Languages, narrowing the distance between teachers and students. The new semester will have a new look. We wish you all a wonderful start to your college life in the College of Foreign Languages.
