In order to further promote the mental health education and life education of our students, stimulate the students’ fighting strength for the good and the future, keep up with the pace of the times and cooperate with their peers, the learning and Work Department of the University of foreign languages held a psychological work meeting in A331 conference room in batches on April 5 and 6. Liu Boxian, deputy secretary of the Party committee of the college, monitor of each grade, psychological member and college counselor attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by counselor Gu Haixing.

At the meeting, Liu Boxian conveyed and interpreted the emergency notice No. 26 of the school’s epidemic prevention and control leading group, and made important reminders on the key points of recent epidemic prevention work. He asked each student to “not order takeout, reduce online shopping, block risks and protect the campus”; Actively cooperate in the normalization of nucleic acid detection; Disperse the activity places to reduce the hidden dangers of crowd gathering; Strictly implement campus management and control regulations such as school entry and exit procedures.

During the epidemic period, psychological work has always been the focus of the college’s students’ work. Gu Haixing interpreted the psychological work plan of the College of foreign languages - “epidemic prevention care and escort team”, and introduced the organizational structure and responsibilities of the “escort team”: Taking the dormitory as the smallest unit, select an epidemic prevention guardian, build a network of counselors, head teachers, psychological members and epidemic prevention guardians, and establish a QQ group of “epidemic prevention care and escort team”, Adhere to the evening daily to promote good communication among students; Resolutely implement the epidemic prevention and control requirements of superiors, give full play to the role of head teachers, psychological members and “epidemic prevention guardians” in dormitories, care about students’ ideological status, pay attention to students’ physical and mental health, and further strengthen grid fine management.

On the evening of April 5, on the basis of clarifying the work requirements, the college quickly established 12 caring psychological teams of freshman and sophomore, composed of 93 epidemic prevention guardians, established contacts through Wechat group, QQ group, Tencent document and other platforms, and clarified the daily report process.

To overcome the difficulties, we are working as a whole. The psychological care work of the college’s “guard team” has strengthened the sense of connection between students and consolidated the psychological work team. It is an important measure to strengthen the ability of prevention and give full play to the function of peer assistance. As long as we all work together, we will be able to listen to the sound of flowers, feel the color of life, fill our hearts with the fragrance of flowers, and win the final victory in the fight against the epidemic.
