On November 13, the 8th "Casio · New World" Japanese Dubbing Competition Cup for Universities in Jiangsu Province was held in Nanjing Forestry University, sponsored by Jiangsu College of Foreign Languages Teaching and Research Association and undertaken by Nanjing Forestry University School of Foreign Studies.
Five students from the School of Foreign Studies, Yang Qingyan, Zhao Qiuqi, Duan Xiangle, Zhai Jinjin, Yang Yuying, etc. from grade 19, worked hard under the guidance of teachers from Japanese Department, such as Miko Nakanishi and Kyohei Tamura, and finally won the first prize of this competition.
The event consists of preliminary and semi-finals. In the preliminary dubbing competition, the team of Jiangnan University kept relaxed and encouraged each other, paying attention to details, and handled the competition with ease. After competition, we ranked the fourth among the 31 universities in Jiangsu Province, and reached the final.
In the final, as a representative, Yang Qingyan performed well. After a short time of preparation, the team of Jiangnan University fully demonstrated our strength and excellently interpreted the understanding of the topic, which won a round of applause. During the final, despite the impact of objective conditions, such as the epidemic control, students still competed with great enthusiasm. Under the guidance of the instructors, they kept improving, carefully polished every pronunciation and tone and never gave up any of the details of the character expression and the overall atmosphere. Finally in the final performance, they made a gratifying achievements.
Japanese Dubbing Competition for Jiangsu Universities is the highest level of dubbing competition in Jiangsu province. By organizing students to participate in this competition, the Japanese Department of School of Foreign Studies can not only promote the all-round improvement of the students' abilities of seeing, listening and speaking, but also show the teaching and language practice of the Japanese department of our university to the counterparts at home and abroad.
