On the afternoon of October 20th, the 2021 summer practice Achievement report of our school was successfully held in Conference Room A349 of School of Foreign Studies. Lu Fang, secretary of the Youth League Committee of the college, attended the meeting. The presidium of the Student Union, the league branch secretary of grade 20 and grade 21 and other student representatives attended the meeting. The conclusion of the "youth practice, strong national self" as the theme, showing the practice of eight social practice teams and experience.

1)We are all heroes—The story of fighting the epidemic

During the summer vacation, the epidemic broke out in Nanjing, Sheng Xiaoyan's hometown. Deciding between returning home and staying in Wuxi, she resolutely chose to become a volunteer in the fight against the epidemic. In the process of volunteer service, she saw the hardships and difficulties of medical workers fighting against the epidemic, and also actively spread the spirit of volunteer service. Her Short film,We Are All Heroes, telled the story of how she participated in the fight against COVID-19.

2)Taekwondo volunteer activities—spreading the spirit of Taekwondo

Taekwondo volunteer social practice group actively served the society during the summer vacation, serving as a volunteer team for the Youth Taekwondo League in Jiangsu Province. Adhering to the volunteer spirit of "dedication, friendship, mutual assistance and progress", volunteers work hard and give love. Through this social practice volunteer service, they not only felt the children's taekwondo spirit, but also experienced the joy of dedicating themselves and serving the society. The young volunteers will make greater contributions to the society and the country in the future.

3)Huaihai Campaign—The stories of trolleys

Members of huaihai Detachment visited the red base of Huaihai Campaign in Huaihai Memorial Tower in Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province, Dong Lisheng's former residence in Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province, revolutionary Memorial Hall in Linyi, Shandong Province, and explored the stories of the trolleys described by General Chen Yi. In addition, members of the practice group investigated the popularity of knowledge related to the Huaihai Campaign and discussed the relationship between the Huaihai spirit and today's social development, so as to further study the history of the Party and feel the great power of the Party.

4)Enthusiastic youth team

Four members of the "Enthusiastic youth team" went to Wuxi, Taizhou and Hangzhou respectively to visit several Revolutionary bases, studying the history of the Party and revolution in depth, and internalizing the revolutionary spirit in their hearts and minds. Red is the timeless spirit of The Times. The team visited offline, organized and learned online, followed the three steps of "seeing, learning and feeling", followed the red memory, inherited the red gene, felt the original mission, and deepened the knowledge and understanding of the Communist Party of China and the Chinese Revolution through immersive learning.

5)Their voice - the direction of the country

After searching for county records and reading a large number of documents, the rural medical interview team went deep into the frontline of the fight against the epidemic and achieved remarkable results. Around the theme of "the major epidemic prevention and control of new China's Pro patient talks" and sort out the reform of the national health care system in oral history, this practice has gained the doctors' understanding of the medical reform and the implementation of the relevant policies in the COVID-19 era.

6)The "revolutionary spirit" will be passed on forever

During the summer vacation, the team visited the places where important events in the history of the Party took place. The three members of the team studied the revolutionary spirit of revolutionary ancestors and carried forward the red culture by visiting the revolutionary Memorial hall and interviewing veteran Party members in their hometown. Also in the form of questionnaire to understand the local people's understanding of party history, targeted propaganda of party history. Through this practice, we cultivated the spirit of unity and strengthened the ability of self-learning and reflection. Finally overcome numerous difficulties for the transmission of Chinese characteristics of the superiority of socialism to contribute their own strength.

7)Care veterans Service

"Care veterans Service" went to Binhu district and Liangxi District of Wuxi to find veterans of the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, listen to their stories and record their voices in order to understand the history of the party. They also listened to some history stories and learned war history at that time to feel the wars life as well as the revolution and the growth of the communist party of China and to better understand the spirit of the communist party of China. At last, we will try to make the application of this series of spirit to the present life to make us better successors to communism.

8)Education Studio Practice Group

In the summer of 2021, 16 backbone teachers and students formed the “Education Studio Practice Group” in order to actively respond to the national strategy and the call of the Youth League Committee of the University and the college for social practice. They traveled thousands of kilometers from Wuxi to Guizhou and Chongqing to carry out the translation research of the great songs of the Dong nationality. There they did so many voluntary activities and gave full play to their professional expertise to make modest contributions to serving the national strategy, and practice their mission and original intention under the background of Rural Revitalization.

9)Group work arrangement and summary speech

Gong Yue, the representative of the Student Union, emphasized the work of the youth League, introduced and publicized the activities such as "I go to College in Jiangsu" short video contest and "My First impression of College Weibo Topic Interaction", and put forward new requirements for the completion and uploading of "Youth College Learning".
