On October 23, 2021, the second National Japanese Dubbing Competition, a national high-level competition of foreign languages, was held in Hefei, Anhui Province, jointly organized by the Steering Committee of Foreign Language and Literature of Colleges and Universities of the Ministry of Education, Chinese Society for Japanese Language Teaching and Research and Beijing Foreign Studies University. Zhao Keying, Li Ao and Jiang Yan, senior 4 students from Japanese Department of School of Foreign Languages of our university, worked hard and won the third prize. This is the first time for our school to participate in this kind of competition and get such excellent results. Through this competition, we once again demonstrated our Japanese teaching and language practice skills to schools at home and abroad.
The event is divided into two parts: preliminary and final. In the preliminary stage, more than 180 colleges and universities participated in the competition. After competition, our school won out of 688 groups of works participated by more than 1,100 people nationwide, and entered the top 50, ranking second in the group to enter the final. During the final, although students were affected by various adverse factors such as epidemic control, they did not affect their efforts and fighting spirit. Under the careful guidance of the instructors, with the belief of victory, they carefully practice every pronunciation and tone, and do not give up any of the details and psychological portrayal of the characters' expressions. They work hard to practice, keep improving, and do not miss any opportunity to practice. In the final performance of dubbing the designated film and television works, I got good results.
By organizing students to participate in this kind of competition, the Japanese Department of the School of Foreign Languages can not only promote the all-round improvement of the students' abilities of seeing, listening and speaking, but also show the Japanese education and practice activities of our school to universities all over the country and promote the friendly communication between teaching and practice of other universities.
