Go where there is pandemic, fight it till it perishes. With the outbreak of the pandemic in Nanjing, Yangzhou and other places in this round, the school has set up fifteen pandemic prevention and control youth task forces. More than 200 volunteers involved themselves in voluntary pandemic prevention and control service in communities and streets across the country. Jiangnan studentsreacted swiftly tothe call and took practical actions to show the mission and responsibility of “please rest assured that I support my great country.”

During the pandemic prevention and control period, our students, medical staff, and the police are on the front line of the fight against the pandemic, and actively participated in the prevention and control work such as information collection, household inspection, regular duty, and material distribution in communities, streets, and villages. They gave up their vacations and volunteered to devote themselves to the people’s war against pandemic, which demonstrated the spirit of contemporary Jiangnan students who contributed their youth to the establishment of a safe line for pandemic prevention and control.

In the first-line pandemic prevention work in the past three months, the hard-working and fearless working spirit of student volunteers in our school has won wide acclaim from the society. Up to now, the school has received many thank-you letters from counties, cities, towns, communities and village committees all over the country, expressing deep gratitude to our students. In the letter, they fully affirmed the good quality of “dedication, friendship, mutual assistance and progress” reflected by Jiangnan students in the process of fighting the pandemic, highly praised the students for their dedication and hard work without asking for anything in return, and expressed sincere gratitude for the meticulous training of the school and the careful guidance of the teachers.
