On the morning of September 10, Jiangnan university held a grand conference to celebrate the 2021 Teachers' Day in the lecture hall on the fifth floor of the library to commend outstanding teachers and exchange teaching and education work. All the leaders of the university, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, the comrades in charge of all colleges and departments, the teaching staff with thirty years of teaching experience in 2021, the representatives of the honored teachers and all new teachers attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Dai Yuebo, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the university.

A special Teachers' Day video was shown at the conference. This video reviewed the educational and teaching achievements of the school over the past year, which not only showed the teaching style and teaching philosophy of outstanding teachers, but also promoted the excellent qualities of our teachers who are dedicated, diligent and selfless to their duties.

At the conference, Party Secretary Zhu Qingbao and Principal Chen Wei presented trophies and flowers to teachers with 30 years of teaching experience in 2021, and shook hands with them one by one to express their respect for their persistence and dedication to education in the past 30 years. In the recognition and awarding session, the university leaders Zhu Qingbao, Chen Wei, Fu Huiming, Liu Miao, Zhang Yinglu and Du Guocheng presented the award certificates to the winners of the "Award for Advanced Deeds of the Three Whole Educators", "First Prize of the Teaching Competition for Young Teachers", "Excellent Award of the Teaching Innovation Competition for Teachers" and "Excellent Teaching Materials Award". Professor Yu Fengqin from the School of Internet of Things Engineering, the winner of the "Zhishan Teacher Award", shared his work experience of treating every student seriously and caring for students' growth, as well as his work experience of "sincerity, originality and dedication" in creating first-class courses with the times. and Lu Mengxin from the College of Humanities shared warm stories about spending time with teachers and sent blessings to all teachers.

In his concluding speech, Chen Wei fully affirmed that in the past year, the majority of faculty and staff did a good job of fighting the new crown epidemic while completing the tasks of education and teaching, scientific research and other tasks with high quality, and delivered a qualified answer sheet of the special period with excellent performance. He proposed that teachers should have the four qualities of "responsible for family and country, high moral character, people-oriented and research-oriented", not forgetting the original intention of establishing moral education, remembering the mission of educating people for the Party and the country, actively exploring the new era of education and teaching methods, constantly improving teaching and education skills, and making new and greater contributions to the cultivation of socialist builders and successors with all-round development of moral, intellectual, physical, social and aesthetic skills.
